NIMBUSTWOTHOUSAND (1) improved sharply on his seventh two starts back at this track with a win as favourite over 6f at Seymour a week-and-a-half ago, getting home by 1.75 lengths after being prominent at the turn. Meets a stronger field but he is good enough to figure in the finish. NEPRAVDA (14) held on well to finish second last time out over 6½f at Sandown-Lakeside after leading for much of the way. Well-placed and should be tough to rein in again. GARNACHO (4) returned from a lay-off three-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 3 lengths into ninth over 5½f at Caulfield. Strips fitter and can figure prominently. KIRRIBILLI (10) is a progressive galloper who is when resuming since finishing fifth over 5½f in the G3 Peter Le Grand Stakes at Caulfield seven months ago which was the only run of that prep. Fitter for two trials, most recently at Traralgon. Has scored when resuming from a lay-off before. Backmarker who keeps coming. Top three prospects.
