AMPING LASS (6) wasted no time getting off the mark as favourite on debut over 5f at Cranbourne four-and-a-half months ago and has not appeared since. Has since been kept ticking over with a Traralgon trial. Has plenty of upside and can win again. POINT BARROW (4) returned from a break last start and drifted well back before closing powerfully to score over 5½f at Bendigo, getting home by a head. In form and another big run is on the cards. LEAVE NO DOUBT (1) was well supported when resuming last time out over 5f at Ballarat Synthetic and proved too strong, scoring by a neck. Has a liking for this trip and this looks well within his grasp. YAMASHITA'S GOLD (2) was too good for a maiden field last start over 5f at this track, scoring by one length. Jamie Mott was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Must be respected now that the penny has dropped.
