Worth noting Craig Newitt goes aboard. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. KALIUWAA FALLS (3) was ridden quietly then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished 3 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1m at Hobart a week-and-a-half ago. Steps up in journey. Will find this easier than last start. Has winning claims. ASVA (7) saluted two runs ago then turned in a nice run last time out when second over 1m1/4f at this track, beaten 0.8 lengths. Worth plenty of thought.
