Went close to a maiden win before the layoff, finishing third at his latest appearance over 1m2 1/2f at Cranbourne. Has trialled well leading into this. Among the chances while fresh. LOWESTOFT (10) finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 6f at Kyneton when she did her best work late, beaten 2. 25 lengths. Should take a lot from that hit-out.
