KATHY'S BEAU (6) faded late last time over 6½f at Mackay after showing good early speed, eventually finishing fourth. Has a win and three minor placings at this journey from six starts and is right in this. NORTHERN PRIDE (4) built on a nice third two starts back at this track with a win over 6f at Bowen two-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 1.5 lengths. Aidan Holt scored on him last time and retains the ride. Goes up a rung or two but he is worth serious consideration. GO GETABOY (2) finished second two runs back at this track then improved last time out to score by half a length over 6½f at Mackay. Meets a stronger field but he is worth serious consideration. DEMON AWARD (3) hasn't made an impression lately despite market confidence. Last start could only manage eighth over 7f at Cairns. Well-placed and can sneak into the finish.
