HIT THE ROAD JACK (4) is looking to improve on a last-start fifth on the flat over 1m2 3/4f at this track on April 12. Tackles a better race this time but is up to the task. POINT NEPEAN (3) is a reliable jumper who was unplaced on the flat two starts ago then scored by a long neck in a hurdle (2m) at Hamilton last start. Big chance with the confidence restored. FABALOT (1) made a strong return from a layoff last time out in a hurdle (2m) at Warrnambool, finishing second when partnered by this rider Tom Ryan. That run was the first for the Shane Jackson yard. Back in good order and looks likely to feature. TOPSPIN (5) missed the frame two runs ago on the flat at Pakenham then wound up in fourth last time (2m) at Hamilton. Can do better than recent efforts.
