GOLDEN CRUSADER (4) returned from a lay-off on the flat last start and finished tenth, beaten 6 lengths, over 1m2f at Flemington. Has only been tested over the jumps once for a win at Ballarat back on August 17. Will prove tough to beat. KARBURAN (5) returned from a lay-off last start and was on debut over the jumps. Justified the solid push in betting on that occasion and scored by 3 lengths in a hurdle (2m) at Warrnambool. Prior to that run the six-year-old had transferred to the Andrew Bobbin stable. Rates highly so expect him to be prominent. EYE FOR AN EYE (3) was popular with punters and produced a nice effort last time out when he won on his jumps debut in a hurdle (2m) at Hamilton. Worth plenty of thought. THE VOCALIST (10) was fresh from a lay-off last time out when he finished sixth on the flat over 1m4 3/4f at Pakenham. Looking to improve on his forgettable debut over the obstacles at Pakenham back on April 13 2025. Sound prospects.
