NIGHTSTICK (2) improved sharply on his seventh two starts back at Gold Coast with success as public elect over 7f at Sunshine Coast Poly two weeks ago, getting home by one length. No reason he cannot salute again. DIVAKARA (9) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten 1.5 lengths, over 7f at this track when returning from a lay-off. Backmarker who gets home hard. Leading contender. MAGIC GAME (7) was a winner over 1m at Rockhampton last time out, dropping out early before coming home with a powerful run to score by a long neck. Justin P Stanley who has scored on her three times retains the mount. One of the main contenders. POWERFUL EAGLE (3) has put together back-to-back placings after scoring three back at Stanthorpe, most recently beaten one length into third over 7½f at Warwick. Best figures measure up and is sure to run well.
