LA CARESSE (3) finished out of the money when fresh from a lay-off two starts back then was beaten 2.75 lengths when fifth in a 7f contest at Caulfield three weeks ago after being in the firing line on the turn. Has the class to figure prominently. ESECUTORE (7) wasn't disgraced in city class last time when finishing fifth at Sandown-Hillside. Will appreciate a drop in grade. Among the leading chances in this company. CORNER OFF (8) closed off strongly last start to get up for third, beaten 0.9 lengths, over 5f136yards at Geelong when resuming after a break. Has a decent record at this trip with five minor placings from six tries and has to be included. ABADDON (5) has been in the placings at his last two starts, finishing third last time over 5½f at Warrnambool. Hard to leave out.
