SPARKLING (2) pushed forward from a wide draw when fresh from a lay-off last time out and was prominent for a long way before fading to finish fourth over 6f at Randwick. Well placed and should be tough to rein in. COLOPHON (12) was in contention on the turn but turned in a disappointing run last time out over 7f at Randwick after a nice win the start prior. Likely improver with strong prospects. DASHING RUPERT (13) scored last start at Kembla Grange to make it two wins from four starts this campaign. Comes down a level this time. Not to be discounted.
