NEW YORK LUSTRE (13) showed good early dash and stalked the pace last start before drawing clear to score by 1.5 lengths over 5f at Flemington. In great form and is well-placed to feature again. CAPPER THIRTYNINE (10) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when 5 lengths away in sixth over 6f at Flemington after being in contention on the bend. Steps up a level but he is good enough to turn the recent form around. CARBONADOS (3) last appeared when he finished fourth over 7f at Sandown-Hillside on September 18. Definite top-three chance. LAYERUPONLAYER (7) started this campaign with a win then was less impressive last time out when eighth over 6f at Flemington, beaten 4.5 lengths. Worth plenty of thought.
