EUGENIUS (3) produced a reasonable effort when fifth last start over 7f at Flemington, beaten 1.75 lengths. That followed a win at Sale the start prior. Beautifully placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. EMPRESSIVE ENUFF (2) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 0.9 lengths away in fourth last time out over 6f at Flemington. Has the ability to take care of this field. HOLA AMIGOS (4) finished third last time over 7f at Geelong when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 1.5 lengths. Ben Allen gets the best out of this five-year-old gelding. Placed to advantage so expect a big run. HE'S BESET (1) finished 4.5 lengths behind the winner in ninth place when resuming over 7f last start at Flemington. Has been in the money at each second up start. Can improve sharply here.
