I AM THE EMPIRE (7) held on well to finish second when when resuming from a break last time out over 1m at Bendigo after leading for much of the way. Will go forward again and looks tough to beat. NEW YORK HURRICANE (3) is on the quick back up after a strong victory at Bendigo only 4 days ago, leading throughout for a 1.5 lengths success. Take catching again. GOTTABESAVVY (6) settled well back from a good draw last time before running on solidly to finish fourth, beaten one length, over 1m2 1/2f at Sandown-Lakeside. Should prove tough to hold out. SUPERSTOCK (12) finished third at this track two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1m2 1/2f at Sandown-Lakeside, finishing 3.5 lengths back in seventh. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
