Ran fifth in a trial over 4f at Cranbourne and looks well placed. Bold showing expected. NORDIC STRIKE (2) is back after a break of three-and-a-half months. Looking to emulate his win at Stony Creek at the beginning of last prep. Among the better hopes. MEET ME HALFWAY (9) is back from a lay-off of four-and-a-half months. Closed last prep as a winner, taking out a 5½f contest at Pakenham by 0. 8 lengths. Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. Must be respected.
