PRIDE OF VENUS (8) showed good early speed and raced just off the lead before lifting to score by a neck over 6f at Townsville last start. Will go forward and should be in the finish again. PREPOTENT (4) recorded a strong on-pace win here last time by a head over 7½f. Yet to win this track and distance but has recorded three minor placings from four attempts. Sure to run well. BOOM BOOM BELLA (7) finished third last start over 6f196yards at Bundaberg. Prior to that had won two races on end, the last of those at this circuit. Hard to fault and can atone. ZHUANG SHI (3) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7½f at this track, beaten 1.5 lengths into fourth. Has his share of ability and is a top-three prospect.
