LUVARCHIE (7) filled a placing last time over 5f at Sunshine Coast and has been given a short break. Kept ticking over with a trial win since at Sunshine Coast Inner Track. Likely to feature if at his best. Has found the right race and is expected to run well. MR TANGLES (1) made it four wins in a row last start when he scored by a long neck over 5f at Clermont. It doesn't get any easier but on current form he is one of the chief contenders. PRETTY SLICK (9) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.2 lengths from the winner in third over 5¼f at this track. This looks a sterner test than last time but on her best form she is one of the key runners. SIMBU (3) is a progressive galloper who is when resuming since finishing seventh over 6f at Doomben 11 months ago. Sharpened for this with a recent trial win. Has won when fresh from a lay-off in the past. Drawn to enjoy a nice trail just off the pace. Must be respected.
