BIG DEMEANOR (2) is a maiden galloper who hasn't raced since finishing in the placings over 6f at Doomben six-and-a-half months ago. Sharpened for this with a placing in a recent trial. Leading contender. FRASER'S RIDGE (5) has been in great form with two placings in succession, most recently when beaten 3.5 lengths into third over 5½f at this track. Finds a tougher race but he has the ability to test this field. SCRUB CHAIN (8) missed the frame on debut then progressed nicely at his second outing when in contention on the corner, finishing half a length from the winner in second at the end of 5½f at this track. Going up a level this time but he cannot be overlooked. OFFANGO (7) finished 3.4 lengths away from the winner last time at this track on a heavy surface and drops in the weights. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Should give backers a sight.
