MIL CIENTO (7) knuckled down strongly to get within 1.5 lengths of the winner in third last start over 6½f at Mackay. Backmarker who keeps coming. Will prove hard to hold out. OBLIQUITY (2) continued the solid form last start, finishing 1.2 lengths back in second at Mackay over this trip. Winning claims yet again. GULF OF SIDRA (4) won at this track and distance at his last outing five months ago. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with two minor placings. Can make his presence felt. MAXIE TAP (5) settled well back but hit the line hard to win by 0.6 lengths over this course and distance last start in a much improved run. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is worth serious consideration.
