LAUREL HILL (6) hit winning form last time to score over 7f at Newcastle but tackles tougher grade here. Should be at top now and is worth following up. SCOPICS (11) finished second at Kembla Grange two runs back but was less effective last time over 6½f at Orange, finishing 4. 5 lengths back in ninth. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. SLUSH FUND (7) pushed forward last time and boxed on to finish a nose away in second over 7f at Gundagai. Taking on a better field but he is good enough to take this out. HYDROMETER (2) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing seventh at Canterbury over 5½f. Placed to advantage so expect a better run this time.
