SCOPICS (11) finished second at Kembla Grange two runs back but was less effective last time over 6½f at Orange, finishing 4. 5 lengths back in ninth. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. SLUSH FUND (7) pushed forward last time and boxed on to finish a nose away in second over 7f at Gundagai. Taking on a better field but he is good enough to take this out. HYDROMETER (2) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing seventh at Canterbury over 5½f. Placed to advantage so expect a better run this time.
