MAGIC DEFENSE (11) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 1m at this track after being prominent at the bend. Finds a suitable race and can go on to take this out. WORCESTER (3) pushed forward when resuming last time and boxed on to finish 3 lengths away in third over 7f at Sale. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot salute. TWINKLE VAN WINKLE (12) is a four-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 4 lengths when sixth over 7f at Ballarat. Should progress from that last outing and poses a genuine threat.
