STURTY (6) ran very well when resuming then drifted back and was never a factor last time, beaten 2.5 lengths into fifth over 6f at Newcastle. Rates highly and can bounce back. ELTOROSON (1) has been in the placings at his last two starts, finishing second last time over 6½f at Canberra. Finds a tougher race but a win is not out of the question. BELLE BOP (8) was below her best last time when eighth over 6½f at Canberra, beaten 10 lengths. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she good enough to play a major role. KANOOZI (10) is a 10-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 4.5 lengths when sixth over 6f at Sapphire Coast. Definite top-three hope with plenty of improvement to come.
