SAPPHIRE REIGN (11) hasn't raced since finishing fifth at Bendigo and has placed in two trials leading into return. Looks ready to run a big race. BIMBALLA (14) finished out of the money when fresh from a lay-off two starts back then was beaten 2. 5 lengths when fifth in a 5f contest at Pakenham three-and-a-half weeks ago after being prominent at the corner. Beautifully placed and is sure to play a major role. UNA GENTLE (16) has been racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid second at Ararat over 5½f. Tackling tougher opposition but shapes as one to consider. CALIFORNIA FLYER (5) didn't make an impact at her last run before going for a lay-off on August 1, finishing 12th and beaten 17 lengths over 7f at Cranbourne. Among the better hopes.
