FOREVER WITH NED (7) is a three-start maiden who could only manage to finish eighth at her latest appearance over 6f at Seymour. Well placed on this occasion and gets her chance to break the ice. CARTIER ISLAND (5) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then was beaten 2.5 lengths when fourth in a 5f contest at Werribee two-and-a-half weeks ago. Must raise the bar but this looks well within her grasp. ANGEL LADDER (12) is a maiden galloper resuming. After a lay-off of three-and-a-half months. Closed last campaign with a 11th over 5f in the G3 Ottawa Stakes at Flemington, beaten 6 lengths. Sharpened for this with a placing in a recent trial. Sure to be competitive. NEVER A THOUGHT (4) was well in commission on his debut over 5f at Pakenham four weeks ago and finished fifth, beaten 2.5 lengths. Plenty of scope for improvement.
