PERIGEAN (8) showed good early muster and fought on to finish second when resuming last start over 5½f at this track. Likely improver with strong prospects. JOHNNY UTAH (1) put the writing on the wall last time when a close second at Gatton over 5½f. Has the speed to be prominent. One of the main contenders. MYSTIC MAC (7) finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 6f at Doomben, beaten 2.5 lengths. Will strip fitter this time. Placed to advantage and can feature in the finish.
