SCANDOVAL (7) did little and finished 14 lengths from the winner in 12th over 1m2f at Warrnambool last start, a less impressive effort than his seventh at Seymour the run before. The engagement of Rhys McLeod is noteworthy. Has the class to figure prominently. WEST CLIFF (2) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 6 lengths when eighth in a 7¾f contest at Mt Gambier a week-and-a-half ago after being in contention on the turn. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. PLATINUM DESTROYER (6) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just two wins from 20 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fourth over 7f78yards at Kyneton, beaten 0. 9 lengths. Nicely placed to test this line-up. MY UNCLE DID IT (11) opened this prep with a win then not disgraced last time out when fourth over 1m at Ararat, beaten 1. 75 lengths. Best figures measure up so deserves another chance.
