MAGIC MERLIN (3) resumed from a lay-off last start with a sound second over 6f87yards at Muswellbrook. Suitably placed to crack the maiden win. ORDINARY ANGEL (5) gave a great sight last time, leading into the lane and boxing on well for a close second over 7f at Tamworth on soft going when well in the market. That made it three minor placings from four runs this campaign. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Likely to feature. REDALUCA GIRL (9) is still a maiden after 19 runs. Was well in commission last time out but didn't live up to market expectations, finishing fifth over 7¼f at Quirindi. Among the chances in what looks a nice race for her.
