LIFE IS A SHIRAZ (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5½f at Dubbo, beaten 1. 75 lengths into fifth after being prominent at the bend. Beautifully placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. BELLERATA (4) lines up for the first time since December 31. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 5f at Muswellbrook. Rates highly and should take some beating. MANDERLEY EXPRESS (12) is a Home Affairs colt from the stakes-winner Mrs Danvers on debut. Ran sixth in a trial at Scone over 4f. One of the main contenders with the blinkers applied. RUSSIAN WORDS (8) turned in another moderate effort last start when 10 lengths from the winner in 12th over 4½f at Newcastle. Well placed to turn things around.
