PURPLE PRINCE (6) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1m at Taree, beaten 2. 5 lengths. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. GRANDE DIABLO (1) was ridden quietly then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished 6 lengths away in sixth last time out over 1m3/4f at Muswellbrook two weeks ago. Steps up in journey. Among the chances. HEAPY'S LEGACY (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he was never in contention over 1m at Quirindi, beaten 4. 5 lengths into sixth. Finds a nice race and can figure in the finish. MINISTER GARRETT (5) stuck on well last start to finish second over 1m2f at Quirindi after showing good early speed. Likely improver with bright prospects.
