CATHAY BRACELET (7) resumes from a lay-off of five-and-a-half months. Could only manage to finish ninth at the latest run over 1m1 1/2f at Gosford. Looks ready to run following a minor placing in a recent Beaudesert trial. Looks the one to beat. CONTRICK (8) is yet to break through after five career starts. Managed to find the placings at Ipswich two starts back before finishing fifth over 6¾f at Warwick last start. Cannot be left out of calculations. MAKE HASTE (11) did her best work late and finished 3.5 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 6¾f at Ipswich, an improvement on her fifth at Toowoomba the run before. Beautifully placed and is sure to be there at the finish. CHIEF BY (2) was in the firing line on the corner and finished third last time over 7f at Sunshine Coast Poly, beaten 6 lengths. Tackling a more suitable race this time so he is one of the primary contenders.
