GYPSY JULIE (3) missed the placings two runs back then settled well back last start when 4.5 lengths away in eighth over 6½f at this track. Has the ability to take care of this field. ILLUMINANCE (10) started at 8/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing ninth and beaten 8 lengths at Pakenham over 7f. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. MRS PENNY CRACKER (11) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when she was never in contention over 6½f at Bendigo, beaten 4.5 lengths into seventh. Must raise the bar but this looks well within her grasp. MADE THE EFFORT (6) was below her best last time when seventh over 6f at this track, beaten 5 lengths. Best figures measure up nicely. Solid top-three prospects.
