PRIME IMPACT (3) returned from a break of three months with a solid third last start at this track over 7¾f when he was handy all the way. The extra journey should play into his hands. Will pay to follow up. SMART LEGEND (4) did well to score at this track two runs ago. Decent effort last time out when second over 1m at Randwick, beaten 2.75 lengths. Has started three times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Faces an easier assignment so he is a leading contender. STING IN THE TAIL (12) caught the eye last start over 1m1 1/2f at this track, coming from the tail and running on strongly to score by a neck. Has been in sound form this prep with two wins from four starts. Should be involved in the finish. KIRIKAN (5) has not won for a long while. Last raced on January 22 when beaten 5 lengths into fourth at Randwick Kensington over 1m1f after being prominent at the bend. Best figures measure up nicely. Can do a lot better.
