THE STARS (9) missed the placings on debut two starts back then ran a better race and finished 1.4 lengths away in fifth last time out over 5½f at Warwick Farm after being in contention on the corner. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. ELEGANT ARTIST (10) resumes from a lay-off of five months. Could only manage to finish sixth at the latest run over 7f at Hawkesbury. Has had the benefit of two trials leading into this. Nicely placed and can get off the mark. MIA BALLERINA (3) finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 5½f at Warwick Farm, beaten one length. Will benefit from that outing. Capable of another bold effort.
