Among the leading chances. THE SPRUIKER (6) finished 3.5 lengths away in seventh last time out over 7f at Pinjarra two weeks ago. Steps up in journey. Takes on a tougher assignment but is among the leading chances. BIRDIEAGLE (3) was safely held when sixth last time out over 1m at this track, beaten 6 lengths. That followed a win at Bunbury at the previous outing. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot make amends. MATERIAL WITNESS (5) ran below expectations last start, finishing fifth and beaten 4.5 lengths at this track over 1m. Well placed to turn things around.
