PRAIRIE FLOWER (1) finished 1.75 lengths from the winner in fifth last start over 5½f at Flemington, an improvement on her sixth at Flemington the run before. Finds a nice race and can take this out. PYTHAGORAS (5) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on September 10 finishing eighth and beaten 5 lengths over 7f at Casterton. Has ability and should be right in the finish. MIDNIGHT POKER (6) finished third last time over 5½f at Stony Creek, beaten 2.5 lengths. Placed to advantage and can run a bold race. CRANC (2) finished third two runs back at Mt Gambier then improved last time out to score by 1.2 lengths over 6f at Naracoorte. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well.
