ARMSTRONG BAY (4) returned from a break of nine months with a solid third last start at Colac over 5½f. Won at his only try over this journey. The one to beat. LADY SHALAA (10) started at 4/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing seventh and beaten 4 lengths at Wodonga over 6½f. Nicely placed to turn things around. DUBAI DANCER (11) hit the frame when resuming two runs back at Mt Gambier but couldn't back it up last start when eighth, beaten 5 lengths, over 5½f at Ballarat. Faces an easier assignment so she is sure to be prominent. NAKAMOTO (6) last appeared when she finished sixth over 1m1f in the G3 Auraria Stakes at Morphettville on April 15. Worth plenty of thought.
