BRUDENELL (3) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by 0.8 lengths over 6f in the LR Bel Esprit Stakes at Caulfield. That continued the solid form this campaign, with three wins from six outings. Top chance again. Multiple Group 3 placegetter SAVANNAH CLOUD (9) was in the firing line all the way and fought on for third last start over 7f in the G3 Shaftesbury Avenue Handicap at Flemington, making it two minor placings in a row. Must raise the bar but a win is not out of the question. Group 3 winner RECOMMENDATION (5) was racing well without winning, finishing in the money on two consecutive occasions, before finishing sixth last time out over 5½f at Caulfield. Should park just off the speed. One of the main contenders. REY MAGNERIO (15) knuckled down strongly to get within 0.9 lengths of the winner in third last start over 6f at Caulfield. Strong record with Jye Mcneil aboard, including four wins. Must be respected.
