THE WOLF (1) is building towards a win with placings at his last two runs, the latest effort a second over 5f at Port Macquarie when beaten 3. 5 lengths. Takes on a tougher assignment this time but he should run well. COSMIC ORDER (13) broke through for her maiden win over 5f at Hawkesbury last time. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Has a wide gate to overcome but she is a solid top-three hope. GAIL JEANETTE (9) displayed plenty of early toe over 5f at Dubbo last time and defied all challengers to score by 2 lengths. Goes up a rung or two but she is up to the task. SPARTUS (7) was in the money two starts back at this track but couldn't back it up last time when 11th, beaten 4 lengths, at Randwick over 5f. Nicely placed to turn things around.
