LOVE YOU ANYWAY (9) turned in a decent effort last start to finish second over 5½f at Gosford after being in contention on the corner. Finds a suitable race and can build on that solid recent effort. LOVE GODDESS (8) is back after a break of five months. At the last run before the layoff she finished seventh over 6¾f at Beaumont (Newcastle). Has ability and is a solid chance. SOUTHPORT (4) is a two-start maiden who returned last time and finished fourth at this track over 5½f, beaten 8 lengths. Should progress from that last outing and poses a genuine threat. CHARM DESTINATION (1) has started twice, missing the frame on debut then doing a better job to finish third last time, beaten 6 lengths over 5½f at this track. Should camp just off the leaders. Further improvement to come.
