SPIV (6) raced on pace for much of the way before fading in the straight to finish sixth, beaten 3 lengths, over 1m here last time. Commendable record at this trip with a win and two minor placings and shapes as a key contender. ONMALONE (2) pushed forward and went on to record a determined win when resuming last start by 0. 9 lengths over 6f at this track. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is sure to be right there at the finish. GONG GIRL (11) got the prize two runs ago but couldn't follow that up last time out when sixth over 6f at Newcastle, beaten 5. 5 lengths. Best figures measure up so deserves another chance.
