Serious contender again with the confidence high. ANGARA (7) wasn't far away last time out, finishing fifth over 5f at Muswellbrook after he was well back on straightening. Has three wins at the trip. One of the better hopes. A POUND OF SALT (3) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 9 lengths when seventh in a 7f contest at Tamworth two weeks ago. Finds an easier assignment and can find winning form. BONUS TEMPUS (9) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only 1. 1 lengths over 6¾f at this track. Well placed and should be about the mark.
