EMMCEE (4) was below his best last time, finishing seventh and beaten 10 lengths over 1m3/4f at Sale after being in contention on the bend. This is a nice drop in grade so he can find the winners' list. MILO (2) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Ballarat, beaten 2. 5 lengths. Fitter and sure to run well. DARK LAGER (3) showed good early dash and stalked the pace last start before drawing clear to score by 1. 1 lengths over 6½f at Penola. Good record at this journey with two wins and three minor placings from seven starts and is expected to be competitive. VADERLEE (5) ran a better race last start, finishing 2 lengths away in fourth over 7f at Ballarat. No surprise to see him in the frame.
