TIKKEN (5) showed early speed from an outside draw and held a forward position before fading to finish sixth, beaten 6 lengths, last start over 7f58yards at Kyneton. Will be handy in the run and should prove hard to run down. ROYAL INFANTRY (9) ran on strongly only to just miss when fresh from a lay-off last start over 6½f at Avoca. Will strip a lot fitter this time around. Hard to beat in this suitable race. CALUSA'S FURY (1) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 1. 4 lengths away in fifth last time out over 7¾f at St Arnaud. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. KISS'N DANCE (3) is back from a lay-off of five months. Closed last prep with a ninth, beaten 8 lengths, over 7f at Hamilton. One of the key contenders.
