BROGANS CREEK (1) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well when returning from a break last time at Orange, finishing third and only half a length from the winner at the end of 5f when he did his best work late. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. EL BEATLE (2) improved sharply on his fifth two starts back at Gunnedah with a win over 5f at Port Macquarie two weeks ago, getting home by a nose. Finds a tougher race but another big run is on the cards. XAPHAN (7) raced below her best last time when eighth over 6f87yards at Orange, beaten 4. 5 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. PRESS GAZE (3) raced on the pace over 5f at Warren last time and went on to win by a neck. Has been in solid form this campaign with a win and two minor placings from six starts. Solid claims on best form.
