BLAZING GURU (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m2 1/2f at Beaumont (Newcastle), beaten 6 lengths into fifth. Taking on a better line-up this time but she is good enough to play a major role. TAVIJEWEL (6) finished 4. 5 lengths away in sixth last time out over 1m2f at Canberra two-and-a-half weeks ago. Steps up in journey. Won't find this as tough. Has claims on his best form. SHYLOCK (7) finished eighth two runs back then did well last start but found a couple better over 1m2f at Canberra, beaten only 1. 3 lengths. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race.
