LIETUVA (1) turned in a modest performance when 11th last start over 6½f at Sunshine Coast, beaten 9 lengths. That followed a good when resuming win at Gold Coast Poly. Kirk Matheson is a key engagement. This doesn't look as hard so he is a major player. BORN FEARLESS (4) scored a barnstorming win last start over 6f at Toowoomba, coming from the tail to get up by 0.8 lengths. Is yet to miss the frame from three starts this campaign, including a win. Sure to run well. ZASCEED (9) was last at the races when he finished seventh over 7f at Alice Springs on November 2. One to consider. BEAN BALL (10) got off the mark over 6f70yards at Ballina last start, scoring by 0.6 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. This is tougher but she cannot be underestimated.
