Race Tip

TOO MUCH MAKEUP (7) was far from disgraced when second last start over 6¾f at this track, beaten half a length. That followed a win at Kilcoy the start prior. Taking on a better line-up this time but she deserves plenty of thought. CHISUM (2) is yet to find the frame in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when eighth over 6f at Toowoomba after he settled well back. Cherry-ripe now and looks the main danger. SHAPIN POWER (11) ran on strongly but just failed to pick up the winner as favourite last start over 5½f at Beaudesert. Meets some better types this time but another big run will not surprise. COOL MUSIC (12) didn't make an impact at her last run before going for a lay-off on December 23 finishing sixth and beaten 5.5 lengths over 1m at Eagle Farm. Looks a strong top-three prospect.
