FERAGO (2) progressed nicely last time out to finish just half a length from the winner in third over 2m2 3/4f at Geelong. Meets some better types this time but he has the talent to test this line-up. SPLIT (6) drifted back and never threatened when seventh last start over 1m4 3/4f at Cranbourne. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is good enough to take this out. SALSITA (8) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Cranbourne, finishing second and only a neck from the winner at the end of 1m4 3/4f after being in the firing line on the turn. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is right in contention. TEMPEST MOON (10) has been thereabouts since getting off the mark three runs back, the latest effort a second over 1m7f at Riccarton Park. Must be respected.
