ALPINE ROCKET (7) was in contention on the bend and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1m4 1/2f at Morphettville after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Steps up a level but he is good enough to take this out. STAR TESTYMONY (1) returned to winning ways last time out, running away with an impressive 3. 5 lengths win over 1m4f at Swan Hill. Sure to make an impact again despite the extra weight. THE CLAIMANT (6) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 2m at Gold Coast, beaten only a neck after being in the firing line on the bend. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. JENNI THE TANK (9) improved sharply last time out to score by 2. 25 lengths over 1m6 1/4f at Kyneton a week-and-a-half ago. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run.
