MAJOR LIGHTNING (2) is still a maiden after eight starts. Managed to fill a minor placing at Narromine two starts back before finishing fourth over 7¼f at Muswellbrook last start. This looks his chance to break through. I DON'T THINK SO (6) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6½f at Dubbo, beaten 11 lengths into seventh. Nicely placed to take this out. PHILS COLOURS (3) turned in a nice run when fresh from a lay-off two starts back at Parkes then missed the placings last time when 8 lengths from the winner in tenth over 7f at Dubbo. Well placed and is among the leading players. SPRADAX (9) finished 5 lengths from the winner in fifth at her most recent outing over 6½f at Narromine. Expected to feature in the finish this time.
