MOUNTAIN HIGH (1) started favourite last time out over 7¼f at Vaal but found one better, making it four minor placings from four starts this campaign. Expected to go close. UP THE ANTE (3) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6f at Vaal, beaten 2.5 lengths. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. THE MIGHTIEST (2) ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1m1f at Greyville after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she is up to the challenge. LACEWING (4) missed the frame last time out when fourth over 1m at this track. Still a maiden but has been in the money on five occasions. Has a good record at this distance with three top-three results from five starts. Should be prominent from the low draw. In the mix.
